PRAYER NEEDS
If you would be gracious to us and remember to pray for us often, we would be so thankful!
-As the Lord answers these prayers we will post the dates they were fulfilled-
February 18, 2013
1) That our property sale would go smoothly -- projected closing on March 1. -SOLD MARCH 8, 2013- Thank you for praying!
2) For Ben to be able to secure a phenomenal employment team for his business long before we leave. -SECURED MAY 2013-
3) That we would find the church the Lord already has planned for us to attend early on.
4) For a smooth transition -- That God would already be preparing our home there. That there would be ease in finding reasonably (or better!) priced: housing in a good area -AGREEMENT MADE APRIL 22, 2013 (great neighborhood and $450 rent!! Is that an answer to prayer or what?)-, quality furnishings, and vehicle.
5) That the Lord would help me to do well in the college courses I am taking prior to going! (PLEASE!! ha!) -English: PASSED MARCH 18 -- Human A & P: PASSED MAY 13, 2013-
6) For our children!! That we would see God move mightily in their lives through this experience; that they would be receptive and responsive to Him.
7) For divine protection over Mercy Maternity Center. The Philippine government has attempted to shut them down multiple times, but the Lord has not seen fit to allow that to happen yet!
8) For God to prepare our hearts and minds in ways that we don't even know we should be praying for!
February 26, 2013
1) For so many donations to start coming in for the maternity center that we'll have to send multiple extra-large "balikbayan" boxes (24" x 18" x 24")!! (See the "YOU" page for an explanation of the donations needed and so you can pray specifically!) -1 1/2 BOXES SENT -
March 18, 2013
1) With only nine weeks left, we need favor with the governmental agencies that need to authorize and sign-off on our travel documents and that they would do so in a very timely manner -- for no set backs or hold ups on getting our passports and all the appropriate visa paperwork together. (I'll spare you the details, but we are specifically concerned over Nia's passport...) -ALL Passports RECEIVED APRIL 5 -- ALL Philippine Consulate approved documentation RECEIVED APRIL 7- Thank you for praying!
April 7, 2013
1) Please pray for us that as we begin to attempt to set things up for ourselves over there, that the Lord would protect our important relationships with the people we will be serving under and with. Pray that we will be able to navigate the ways of the Philippine culture and ways of doing things and that God would knit our hearts for each other together with love, grace, understanding, and patience.
May 20, 2013
1) With one week to go, everything has gone so very smoothly up to this point! Please be sure to praise the Lord with us and give Him all the glory for the things He has done!
2) Next stop: visas. We've heard stories of incredible expense and of lengthy process... we are believing for God's favor in aquiring our travel visas in Portland - DONE! MAY 27- and for a smooth, affordable, and speedy process once in the Philippines for obtaining our missionary visas.
YOUR PRAYERS ARE MUCH APPRECIATED! We love our prayer giants!
